Alfonso Rao - Bristol Dentist
Clinical Director
Dr Alfonso Rao was born in Italy and graduated with Distinction from the University of Chieti. He worked as an oral surgeon at hospitals in Pescara, Caserta and Napoli until 2009 when he started working in England and since then worked in several clinics between Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham.
Dr Rao is the owner of Somerford House. Dr Rao strongly believes in 21st-century dentistry and technology. He is very keen on continued education and has completed a three-year course in implant dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute of London. He also attended a further course at the world-renowned Global Institute for Dental Education in Los Angeles, graduating in 2014.
As well as being a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and ITi he is an accredited Straumann mentor. This enables him to teach implantology on several courses.
Dr Rao also has a keen interest in cosmetic orthodontics as well as complex smile makeovers using teeth whitening and porcelain crowns.
